Abstract

Abstract: First Person Shooter (FPS) games is a shooting video game class based on a first-person perspective. The player has the feeling of seeing the virtual field through the eyes of his avatar. Therefore, an existing discussion in the contemporary is about the possible negative effects of violent video games on their users, thus, the purpose of this article is to research the possible consequences of FPS games on the behavior and psychological aspects of their players. Moreover, this investigation was based on a literature review in the databases of PubMed, BVS and Google Scholar. The result of this study indicated the impossibility of accurately attributing FPS games as causing harm, due to the lack of consensus in the bibliographic survey carried out.
