Abstract

ABSTRACT: The present study seeks to highlight and disseminate relevant information about dengue and the contexts and scenarios in which the disease has a greater proliferation, as well as the contribution of the municipality of Itaperuna/RJ as the empirical field for the construction of the primordial concepts that we propose, seeking valuable information on the incidence of Dengue cases between the year 2018 to the year 2022, with the influences of the pandemic moment. The starting problem that guided the present study was: what was the prevalence of dengue in the municipality of Itaperuna/RJ in the period from 2018 to 2022? Thus, given the tropical conditions, favorable for the proliferation of the mosquito vector and its relevance in public health, the present study aimed to investigate and report the prevalence of dengue cases in Itaperuna/RJ in the last 5 years, since there will be many biases that will permeate the subject, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
