Abstract

Art from the most remote times speaks of human life, its daily life, conflicts, interests, rituals, reveals the way of life of different cultures and the unique and singular human being who creates the work, with all its particularities and influences of the historical-cultural period in which he is inserted and, in this process, those who see his work are also influenced. The art popularly known as "comics", considered as the ninth art and abbreviated as HQ, is characterized by telling stories through drawings, in a sequential order. The human being is a total being, not just a being of verbal communication. It is also what his body expresses and is not capable of verbalizing, this perspective of the totality of the human being may have made the language also with the expression of the comics, which is neither totally verbal nor non-verbal. Understanding art as a means of interpretation, that is, meaning, giving meaning to the world that surrounds human beings, which is a concept postulated by Freud, founder of Psychoanalysis, it is possible that there is an interlocution between comics and psychology, since in this type of narrative, the author of the work expresses ways of living and acting, through the characters, making the unconscious become conscious.
