PSYCHOLOGICAL DISORDERS PRESENTED IN THE WORKPLACE
Abstract: This article examines the relationship between the work environment and mental health, highlighting the importance of a healthy workplace. It points out that an adverse environment can cause psychological distress, affecting professional performance and quality of life. The text analyzes the workday in Brazil, especially the 6x1 regime, which imposes excessive workloads and is associated with Burnout, manifesting itself in symptoms such as emotional exhaustion and insomnia. The lack of psychological support and the mismatch between workers' needs and work demands are identified as critical factors for stress and dissatisfaction. The article proposes interventions such as the review of workdays and worker protection policies. The "Life Beyond Work" movement is highlighted as an initiative to improve working conditions. The conclusion emphasizes the need for a proactive approach to mental health at work, emphasizing that investing in employee well-being is essential for the effectiveness and sustainability of organizations.
