Abstract
Today, in the context of organizations, much is said about knowledge and is concerned with its management. And when it comes to Knowledge Management, there are several terms that come up: knowledge, the various forms of knowledge acquisition and transfer, innovation, intellectual capital, human capital, innovative capacity, organizational learning, corporate education, intangible assets among others. many others who have been part of the language of the managers of modern organizations, concerned about their levels of competitiveness. Therefore, the objective of this research is to point out Knowledge Management as a central strategy to develop companies' competitiveness, through the establishment of rules for the selection of knowledge considered strategic for organizations. A qualitative research was conducted in books, scientific articles, master's dissertations and websites, from a theoretical investigation, using a theoretical-conceptual methodology in the areas of Knowledge Management, Innovation and Competitiveness in Organizations, in search of the best concepts. and foundations for a better development of this research. Knowledge Management contributes to a better efficiency of the practices practiced in the companies, thus avoiding errors and waste, besides providing innovations capable of generating greater productivity, profitability, workforce development and consequently greater competitiveness.
